Marrakech, Coast To Desert

Your adventure begins in Marrakech, one of Morocco’s most famous cities. After arriving, you’ll have time to explore at your own pace or join an optional guided tour. Wander through the medina, discover historic sites such as the Koutoubia Mosque, or simply take in the bustling energy of Jemaa el-Fnaa square. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner to complete your first day.

Today’s journey takes you away from the city and through scenic Berber towns en route to Tafraoute. Once you arrive, you can enjoy a walk through the lush Ait Mansour Valley, an oasis framed by dramatic mountain scenery. You’ll also have the chance to visit the legendary blue-painted rocks, an artistic landmark set in classic Moroccan mountain terrain.

From the mountains to the coast, today’s drive along the Atlantic offers beautiful views before arriving in Essaouira. Essaouira is a relaxed seaside town and has something for everyone: golden beaches, a lively fishing port, and a medina filled with artisan shops. You can choose to relax on the shore, take in the sights, or join a Moroccan cooking class. The fresh sea air and laid-back charm make Essaouira a highlight of any Morocco adventure tour.

The adventure continues as you travel to the Agafay Desert, a rocky and dramatic landscape just outside the city of Marrakech. Here you’ll experience the stillness of the desert, with options for a camel ride or to simply enjoy the atmosphere of the desert camp. Watching the sunset here is an unforgettable moment. The desert really is a unique setting.

After breakfast, we’ll transfer back to Marrakech, with the option of an airport drop-off to suit your onward travel plans.
