Highlights Of Morocco: 8 Day Trip

Welcome to Morocco! After your airport transfer, settle into your hotel before joining your group for a pre-departure meeting at 6:00 p.m. If you arrive early, take the opportunity to visit Casablanca’s most iconic landmark, the Hassan II Mosque.

Note: The Hassan II Mosque tour is unavailable in the afternoon during Ramadan.

After breakfast, travel to Rabat, the capital of Morocco, for a guided tour that includes the Oudaia Kasbah, Hassan Tower, and Royal Palace. Continue on to Meknes, another imperial city, before exploring the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis with a knowledgeable guide. The day ends in the historic city of Fes.

Step back in time as you explore Fes, the world’s largest living medieval city. Wander the labyrinthine medina with its souks, tanneries, mosques, and palaces during a guided city tour. In the evening, you can choose an optional traditional Moroccan dinner with live music and entertainment

Today, head south towards the Sahara. After arriving in Merzouga, mount a camel and trek into the sweeping Erg Chebbi dunes, timing your journey to watch the sunset over the sands. Spend the night in an authentic Berber camp, enjoying local food, culture, and music under the star-filled desert sky.

Leave the desert behind and visit Todra Gorge, an awe-inspiring canyon with 1,000-foot limestone cliffs. You’ll have time to explore on foot or try optional rock climbing. Later, stop at a Berber cooperative to learn about traditional weaving and perhaps purchase handmade rugs.

Travel along the “road of a thousand kasbahs” towards Ouarzazate, with an optional visit to the film studios. Continue to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Aït Benhaddou for a guided tour of its ancient kasbahs, once a key stop on the caravan routes.

Cross the High Atlas Mountains through the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass en route to Marrakech. Optional guided tours reveal highlights such as Bahia Palace, Koutoubia Mosque, and the busy medina. You may also join an optional cooking class in a family home, preparing traditional Moroccan dishes.
